LocalCut provides a free tool for removing backgrounds from images directly in your web browser. This policy explains how information may be handled when you visit or use our website.
1. How image processing works
LocalCut processes selected images locally in your web browser, using your device's processing resources. Images selected for background removal are not uploaded to LocalCut's servers for processing.
The website may download scripts, AI models and other resources from external providers to make the tool work. These resources are separate from the image you select. LocalCut does not intentionally send your selected image to these providers as part of its normal background-removal process.
Your processed image is made available in your browser so that you can download it to your device. LocalCut does not operate an account system for saving your images online.
2. Information processed when you visit
You do not need to create an account or provide personal details to use the background-removal tool.
However, when you visit a website, technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages and request times may be processed by the website's hosting provider and other services involved in delivering the site.
The information actually collected depends on the services in use and their configurations.
3. Google AdSense and advertising
LocalCut may display advertisements using Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may process information such as IP addresses, cookie identifiers, browser information and interactions with advertisements.
This information may be used to deliver and measure advertisements, prevent invalid activity and, where permitted, personalise advertising. Advertising-related data processing is separate from LocalCut's local image-processing function.

Where required by law, consent will be obtained before non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used. Advertising and consent features must be configured in accordance with applicable requirements.
4. Cookies and browser storage
LocalCut uses browser local storage to remember your chosen colour theme, where supported by your browser. This preference is stored on your device.
Google or other third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, security, analytics or service delivery, depending on which services are enabled and your consent choices.
5. Why information may be processed
Information may be processed where necessary to:
- Deliver and maintain the website.
- Load the scripts and models needed by the image tool.
- Remember your selected colour theme.
- Protect the website and prevent abuse.
- Display and measure advertisements, where enabled.
- Diagnose technical issues and improve reliability.
6. Third-party services
LocalCut may rely on third-party hosting, libraries, model providers and advertising services. Those services may process technical information when your browser connects to them and may have their own privacy policies and terms.
Although LocalCut is designed to process images locally, this does not mean that no information about your website visit is ever transmitted to other services.
7. Data retention and security
LocalCut does not intentionally store selected images on its own image-processing servers. Image data may remain temporarily in your browser while you use the tool.
Technical information handled by hosting providers or third-party services may be retained according to their practices and settings. No website or internet connection can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, or make a complaint to the relevant data protection authority.

9. Children's privacy
LocalCut is a general-purpose image tool. We do not intentionally require users to provide personal information to process images. Any advertising and third-party services must be configured in accordance with applicable rules concerning children and privacy.
